Background

  • Traditional panels work great in the lab. But in real life they simply cannot match users’ energy needs.

  • Even the slightest shadow cast by a tree branch or some snowfall can render top-tier panel useless.

  • Van-lifers and digital nomads, who live to explore, found this reality very disappointing.

  • Customer surveys further highlighted that satisfaction rates with solar panels were abysmally low.

Optivolt’s innovation

Optivolt’s groundbreaking technology allows solar panels—for the first time ever—to work in the shade.

When traditional panels’ output drops to zero, Optivolt’s panels keep generating electricity.

In other words, blockers of sunlight are transparent to Optivolt’s panels.


Our Task

We were tasked not only to let the world know about Optivolt’s solution and brand, but also reenergize the van-life community’s passion for solar panels.

The highly technical nature of Optivolt’s innovation had to be made relevant to van-lifers and digital nomads.

Creative Solution

We had to create a red thread that connects Optivolt’s USP, the needs of van-lifers, and our belief in a more reliable solar industry. That red thread is transparency.
